Pyreos continues to grow distribution partnerships

Pyreos, a manufacturer of miniature, rugged, pyroelectric, mid-infrared sensors and detectors which respond faster and minimise power consumption, has announced it has further extended its distribution network with the addition of EQ Photonics, based near Munich, as its distributor in Germany. This delivers on a recent announcement of the expansion of distributor coverage as a key pillar to its growth strategy.

Pyreos has also this year rapidly expanded its product range in response to increasing global demand for fast, accurate measurement of gases and fluids in traditional and new applications such as anaesthesia, refrigerants and foods. It has selected EQ Photonics for its extensive experience with high end photonic sources and detectors, as well as technical skills and market knowledge that will allow for deeper engagement in these key segments.

“By working with EQ Photonics, we will accelerate growth in Europe’s most important and fast-evolving market for optical sensing products,” said Keith Pruden, VP sales at Pyreos. “EQ Photonics will give us immediate access to those customers who already have longstanding relationships with them. By strengthening our distribution channel in this way, we are offering our customers increased high-service levels of support, and the new partnership gives us a real competitive advantage in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.”

“We are committed to bringing our customers the best and broadest range of quality products and this new agreement with Pyreos means we can offer them enhanced, market leading sensor and detector technology,” said Harald Sittenauer, Managing Director at EQ Photonics.
