The 2017 GSMA Mobile World Congress, MWC is to be held at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, Barcelona, Spain from the 25 February to 28 February 2019.

Mobile World Congress is held each year and it is the place for those in the mobile industry to gather, network and conduct business.

GSMA Mobile World Congress 2019

The GSMA Mobile World Congress has established itself as the major global mobile telecommunications event. It provides a conference featuring the major figures from the industry; panel discussions proving insights into the thinking behind future trends. It also features a very large exhibition at which companies take space to exhibit the very latest in mobile telecommunications technology. In addition to this, the annual Global Mobile Awards ceremony is held where awards are presented for the most innovative mobile solutions and initiatives from around the globe.

2018 MWC

The Mobile World Congress held in 2018 was a particular success. With over 2400 companies exhibiting and more than 110 000 visitors from over 200 countries, MWC 2018 was the largest ever, and it seems set to grow even more.

Transport to the exhibition

Located at the Fira Gran Via, MWC19 is located within convenient distance of the centre of Barcelona. It can be reached by car, taxi.

Many also use public - the Metro L8 from Placa Espanya stops just a short walk away from the Fira. This line can be accessed either from the rest of the Metro / TMB, or directly from the Placa Espanya. There is also the new L9 that has a station directly inside the Fira and links easily to the airport..

The ease of transport within Barcelona means that hotels all over the city can be used, provided they are near to a convenient form of transport, e.g. the Metro.

MWC Conference & Keynotes

As usual the 2018 GSMA Mobile World Congress will boast an impressive line-up of keynote presentations from industry thought leaders.

MWC 2018 exhibition

In addition to the lectures and keynotes, there is the usual enormous exhibition where new products can be seen as well as it providing an ideal platform for networking and seeking out new technologies. As a result of the exhibition, enormous amounts of business are undertaken either at the show or in the months following. Many see the exhibition as the a showcase on new technology and as a place where they can gain ideas to take their businesses forwards.
