MTN and Sensory to deliver global VSAT connectivity to superyachts
US communications supplier, MTN Satellite Communications, and Sensory International, a US designer of automation systems for the marine and residential markets, have joined forces to provide integrated VSAT services and connectivity to superyachts.
The partnership will provide a single source for procuring onboard automation requirements supported by the most reliable VSAT connectivity available. Sensory will provide MTN's VSAT services and support to its customers that own yachts 50 metres or more in length.
"Sensory International was founded by two former superyacht captains, so they have an intimate understanding of the connectivity requirements for these vessels," said Kerry Pettitt, Head of Business Development for MTN's yacht division in EMEA and Asia. "This knowledge, coupled with MTN's expertise in the satellite communications market, will provide the industry with leading connectivity on some of the world's most luxurious yachts."
