Anglia Live Launched as Design Website for UK Engineers

Anglia Components has launched its design website for engineers under the title Anglia Live (www.anglia-live.com)

Anglia Live uniquely combines same day shipment, next day delivery for meeting tight design deadlines with Anglia Part Tracker availability information to ensure that only devices recommended for new designs are used.

Anglia Live is bound together by a comprehensive parametric search engine, populated with data that has been verified and entered by Anglia itself to ensure complete consistency of presentation. Other features include full predictive search based on Anglia designation, industry standard part number or description, and images and manufacturers’ data sheets for the majority of the 300,000+ line items featured on the site. Anglia Live is available for engineers in the UK and Eire.

“Anglia Live completes the missing link: a service that allows customers to take projects seamlessly from embryonic design to volume production,” said Steve Rawlins, CEO of Anglia. “Customers are only offered parts recommended for new designs, and are given full visibility of Anglia current and projected stock levels and any product change or termination notifications (PCN / PTN) issued by the supplier. Designers can use parts from our site with confidence – and generate a bill of materials that their purchasing department can source in volume with a single phone call. Anglia Live captures the exceptional service that we’ve always delivered personally to our customers and extended it by making it available online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

David Pearson, Technical Director, added, “Anglia Live is a website that provides customers with effective support at the earliest stages in the development of a project. The stock and pricing information on the Anglia Live website is truly live, order a device and the stock level will reduce in real time. We also provide information on future stock levels, reflecting shipments that we are expecting from our suppliers. We anticipate that many customers will use the site mainly as a source of information, and will continue to order by phone, fax or email as they always have.”

Steve Rawlins concluded, “We’ve configured Anglia Live specifically to enhance our service to our existing customers: UK and Eire OEMs and CEMs, providing the information that they need to make informed technical and commercial component choices. Though anyone in the UK or Eire with a credit card can place an order and receive free delivery.

The new Anglia Live service covers all stocked products including Ready Reel, production ready split reels of smaller quantities held in stock at Anglia’s Wisbech Distribution Centre for same-day shipment and labelled with the lot and batch details of the originating reel to provide full traceability.
