Saankhya Labs demonstrates DVB-T2/S2
Software Definable Radio platform developer, Saankhya Labs, has demonstrated DVB-T2 and DVB-S2 demodulation as well as trans-modulation capabilities on its existing platform.
According to the company, its software defined Universal TV Demodulator IC, the SL1001, is the only commercially available product that supports all major terrestrial (ATSC, DVB-T, ISDB-T, DTMB), cable (DVB-C, US Cable, Japan Cable), satellite (DVB-S), analog (PAL, NTSC, SECAM) TV and digital radio (FM, DAB, DAB+, DRM) broadcasts standards in a single cost effective chip.
SL1001 may also be programmed as a trans-modulator for video distribution across private and commercial networks.
"Our ability to support all major worldwide standards in a single demodulator IC within 12 months of initial introduction demonstrates the value of our innovative SDR platform. SL1001 enables TV, set-top-box and other consumer electronics manufacturers to design a single cost effective solution to address the worldwide market " said Vishwa Kayargadde, CEO of Saankhya Labs.
