IMS Overview Training
The IMS overview training provides general knowledge of the architectures, functions and protocols in the IP Multimedia Subsystem, IMS. In addition to this, the background and reasons for introducing IMS are detailed.
In terms of the technical content, the course commences by investigating IP, Internet Protocol as well as, and real-time media over IP in particular. Session Initiation Protocol, SIP is also described along with its use within IMS.
In order to understand how they are used, some IMS signalling flow traffic cases are investigated. Issues including quality of service, QoS and various service provisioning are discussed. The IMS overview course also outlines IMS role for fixed mobile convergence.
